Nintendo has come up with yet another idea for an accessory to add to its list of Wii peripherals. This time it's a soft football-shaped controller that is said to simulate the feel and touch of a real ball when playing football simulation games such as the NFL game, Madden.

Here are some recent College Football Rankings for the NCAA fans.

This is what the top 4 big teams are looking like for the 2009 NCAA season so far.

1. Ohio State: They have a huge game against USC this week. We will see if they are the real deal after this.

2. Michigan: The wolverines are back, big time. Look for them to pull a huge upset against Notre Dame.

3. Illinois: Yes, Illinois looked sloppy at their start, but look for them to take the last game to heart, and really surprise people in their next big outing.

4. Penn State: A solid team. Always a good pick.

Now many may not agree with these rankings, but after last Saturday, I have to say I think all of these teams are looking fantastic. If you are a betting man or woman, keep these teams on top of your list.

The Minnesota Vikings leading quarterback Brett Favre got fined $10,000 by the National Football League for th cracking back block on Houston's Eugene Wilson in a preseason game earlier this preseason. Ouch.

Eagles to start Kolb in preseason finale, Vick will also play QB

Kevin Kolb is getting a start at quarterback in the Eagles' final preseason game.

On his weekly radio show Monday evening, Eagles coach Andy Reid said Kolb will start Thursday's game against the New York Jets at the Meadowlands and Michael Vick will play in the first half.

Vick will start the second half at quarterback, Reid said.

Quarterback Donovan McNabb, running back Brian Westbrook and many of Philadelphia's starters will not play.

In last week's victory over Jacksonville, Vick played six snaps. He went 4 for 4 for 19 yards and rushed once for a yard.

Vick participated in the first four Eagles drives, which netted only 3 points. Philadelphia went three-and-out on the others.

Brady, or Anderson?

Brady Quinn's strong performance didn't sway Browns coach Eric Mangini.

Cleveland's quarterback derby drags on.

On Monday, Mangini said he has not yet settled on Quinn or Derek Anderson as his starter. Mangini repeated for the umpteenth time this summer that he has no timetable for a decision and will continue to examine his two quarterbacks as the Browns inch toward their Sept. 13 regular-season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

The clock is ticking. The coach is taking his time.

"No real change," Mangini said. "No decision yet. We're going to go through the whole process and then we'll make a decision."

Owens returns to Bills practice after nursing toe injury

With Terrell Owens' sore toe finally healed, his next step is seeing whether he can boost the Bills offense which has been limping through the preseason.

Just don't expect him back for Buffalo's preseason finale against Detroit on Thursday.

After missing three weeks with a sprained toe, Owens returned to practice on Monday and declared he'll be ready to play in two weeks for the regular-season opener against New England.

"We're going to be smart about it," Owens said. "We've got the big opener to the season against the Patriots, so that's where my focus is right now."

Coach Dick Jauron also said there's "not a good chance" Owens will play Thursday.

Browns trade DT Louis to Panthers

Five days after a run-in with an assistant coach, defensive tackle Leonard Louis was traded to the Carolina Panthers for an undisclosed draft pick, Browns coach Eric Mangini revealed at his Tuesday morning press conference.

Last week, Louis and defensive line coach Bryan Cox got into a heated argument during team drills, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “Don’t you curse at me,” the newspaper quoted the fiery Cox as shouting. Cox then ordered Louis to run laps. Louis, according to the paper, started walking slowly without his helmet on. Cox responded: “I said run, don’t walk!”

Louis was the second defensive lineman the Browns have parted ways with in less than a month. In early August, Shaun Smith was released, one day after getting into an argument with Cox. Smith had started 19 games with the Browns over two years.

Louis, an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State in 2007, played in all 16 games for Cleveland last season, starting four.
